Intel applauds FCC's National Broadband Plan Print

INTEL TODAY COMMENDED FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski and the FCC broadband team for delivering a meaningful and ambitious plan for U.S. leadership in broadband.

Elements of the plan, include its recommendations to free an additional 500 MHz of spectrum for wireless broadband over the next 10 years and transition the Universal Service Fund to broadband, as well as its goal of 90 percent home broadband adoption by 2020.  The National Broadband Plan, also has the potential to help create jobs and spur economic growth, unleash new waves of innovation and investment, improve education and health care.
