HIDDEN AWAY IN A SMALL CORNER at a CES press event were two revisions of Sony’s PlayStation 3 gaming system. Although most people have seen the guts of the original design before, this is one of the first times that the latest revision has been on display. 
As you can see the latest revision is smaller than the original. According to RAMBUS, the new design has been optimized for performance and energy efficiency, but also lacks the PS2 emulation chip that the previous version included.
