AT A RECENT INTEL ANALYST BRIEFING, highlights of the company's 32nm process technology were presented in advance of the 2009 Intel Developer Forum (IDF) beginning Sept. 22.  Intel had two reasons for holding the analyst calls last week, one of which was to announce two papers that will be presented at IEDM in December.  The second announcement, was that 32nm production wafers are now moving through Intel's D1D fab in Oregon.

From this information, we could expect a launch, or an official announcement of the launch date for the Westmere 32nm family of processors at the IDF.
