DELL HAS FINALLY LAUNCHED their netbook today.  The Inspiron Mini 9 has been very anticipated and is the latest contender in the netbook battle.

This computer features a glossy 8.9-inch screen, and currently supports up to a single 16GB Solid State drive.  Unfortunately unlike other netbooks, the Dell website says that the system memory is limited to 1GB.  An Inspiron Mini 9 weighs in for as little as 2.88lbs (1.035kg), and is seems fairly durable with a sealed keyboard and SSD memory storage.

Prices start at $349 US

It is available in US, UK, Ireland, France, Germany and Austria immediately from Dell online.  It is expected to be availiabe in Spain and Italy in October.
