LENOVO ANNOUNCED on Monday introduced a low-cost mini-notebook, becoming the latest Tier 1 vendor to enter the market of sub-notebooks.  The Lenovo IdeaPad S10 has a 10-inch screen and a keyboard that is 85% the size of a full keyboard. It is powered by Intel's recently released Atom processor for mobile Internet devices.

The S10 also has built-in Wi-Fi support, and two USB ports, features an LED backlit display, is about an inch thick, weighs a little more than two pounds.   Lenovo is offering two configurations; a base model comes with 512 MB of memory and an 80 GB hard drive, and a slightly upgraded model with 1 GB of memory and a 160 GB hard drive. Pricing starts at $399 and currently both configurations ship with Windows XP.
