Intel Net-Top users to get Hyperspace support Print

PHOENIX TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCED ON WEDNESDAY, that it has signed a partnership with Intel to supply its HyperSpace quick-boot technology as part of Intel's Atom desktop motherboards.  The HyperSpace platform will ship alongside Intel's Atom 230 and 330 processors for desktops only, beginning in the fourth quarter.

Users of Intel Atom net-top will have access to the pre-boot environment while Windows loads, allowing them access to an office environment plus Web-based applications and sites.  It was not disclosed which SKUs were covered by the agreement.
