MICROSOFT HAS QUIETLY DECIDED that it will not be supporting the Windows XP 64-bit platform in its upcoming Office 2010 product line.

When the list of supported software came out, it was noticed that while the 32-bit version of Windows XP was on the list the 64-bit version was not. Microsoft has officially confirmed it has no plans of supporting Windows XP 64-bit or Windows Server 2003 even though there will be 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Office.
