WESTERN DIGITAL ANNOUNCED TODAY that it is now shipping its new WD Scorpio® Black 750 GB, 7200 RPM, 2.5-inch SATA hard drives for high-performance mobile computing and portable storage devices.  The WD Scorpio Black drives combine 7200 RPM spin speed and a 16 MB cache to deliver maximum portable performance. Advanced Format (AF) technology has also been integrated in the WD Scorpio Black 750 GB hard drives as well as a variety of data-protection features to actively monitor and protect valuable data.  The new WD Scorpio Black 750 GB hard drives (WD7500BPKT) is now available at select resellers and distributors. Western Digital has set the MSRP for the WD Scorpio Black 750 GB hard drive at $149.00 USD, and is covered by a five-year limited warranty.
