New company sports amazing SCP chassis
GTR TECH, a startup from southern California recently introduced their first chassis, the GT3-BH. The GTR-BH3 is the first in a line of Sport Compact PC form factor chassis. Their unique design and patent-pending technology is designed to provide OEMs and enthusiasts the ability to utilize full size PC components (mother boards, video cards, add-in cards) in a small form factor chassis.
The GT3-BH chassis supports most standard ATX motherboards, PCI Express x16 graphic cards, one full height PCI add-in card, and up to two 3.5” hard drives. The case comes complete with a 350W ATX power supply, three cold air intakes, a retractable aluminum handle, and faux carbon fiber front bezel. Being small and light weight makes the system an ideal fit for consumers wanting a flexible high-performance full size PC with the portability of traditional small form factor systems.
Unlike most SFF systems, users who want a SLI or Crossfire solution can purchase an optional riser kit to support two x16 PCI-E graphics cards (with motherboard support). GTR Tech provides a compatibility list, here, on their company website to assist system builders with component selection. Users may have to search through a vendors for a slim-line CD/DVD drive, but are available from most online vendors. GTR's PR manager suggested to us that GT3 predesigned kits are being evaluated for sale directly through their website, and also mentioned that pre-configured systems will be available soon from partner OEMs.
